Providing transparency
As corporate sustainability reporting has grown in importance, so has the number of ESG standards and frameworks. One of the key obstacles for companies preparing reports is keeping pace with the many developments in the evolving ESG reporting landscape. Alongside this, organisations must maintain data quality, standardisation, materiality, stakeholder engagement, and innovation. These challenges are both technical and strategic, requiring companies to reassess business models, governance structures, and stakeholder relationships.
Regardless of where a business stands on its sustainability journey, its reporting serves as the fundamental basis of ESG and reflects the company’s purpose. It should not solely be viewed as a matter of compliance or reputation; rather, it generates value for businesses and society by mitigating risks, enhancing transparency, and improving stakeholder engagement.
