Alastair MacGregor
Chief Executive Officer
Alastair is CEO of Simply Sustainable.
Passionate about the natural environment, Alastair made the move into sustainability after a career as an investment manager, where he saw first hand the risks and opportunities shaping the future. His mission: to help businesses and investors make better, more informed decisions.
Over the past 15 years, he’s held leadership roles across sustainability software, data, and consulting — witnessing the sector’s transformation from niche to mainstream. Along the way, he’s enjoyed building high-performing teams, and innovative products and services spanning climate, nature, and social impact.
Alastair is a CFA charter holder, holds an MSc in Environmental Economics from Cranfield University, and once trained as a scientist with a BSc in Chemistry from Newcastle.

Ailsa Dormon
Client Strategies Partner
Ailsa Dormon is a Client Strategies Partner at Simply Sustainable, where she leads on sector strategy, client growth and business development across Finance and Insurance, Professional Services, Technology, Communications and Media, and Transport and Logistics.
Ailsa specialises in translating complex ESG and sustainability frameworks into clear, actionable strategies that help businesses deliver impact and value. With deep experience in developing agile sustainability strategies and navigating the evolving reporting landscape, she supports clients to make confident progress on the most pressing challenges facing business and finance today.
With a background in innovation and sustainability consulting, Ailsa combines analytical rigour with creative thinking to help organisations embed sustainable practices across environmental and social impact areas.
Ailsa holds a first-class master’s degree in Physics from the University of Exeter and is passionate about enabling businesses to think big, act decisively, and build resilience for the future.

Cameron Wilson
Solutions Manager – Reporting
Cameron joined our graduate cohort in 2021 after completing his law degree and a year in the sustainability industry. Now, with over five years of experience, Cameron has utilised both his legal education and sustainability experience to specialise in sustainability risk management and reporting in line with ESG-related company law at both the local and international level. Cameron is very detail-oriented and analytical in understanding compliance requirements for laws, international standards and frameworks and helps our clients in breaking these requirements down, to produce a simple yet effective reporting solution for them for all aspects of sustainability.
Cameron now leads our Reporting Solutions team, helping an array of clients across a multitude of sectors on subjects such as sustainability report writing, understanding legislative changes, climate risk assessments and resilience. Cameron is incredibly passionate about helping businesses become more resilient, primarily by identifying and managing sustainability-related risks and opportunities, specifically climate risk, whilst showcasing progress through transparent disclosures.

Camila Segura
Sustainability Solutions Consultant
As a Sustainability Solutions Consultant, Camila is deeply passionate about nature and biodiversity. Camila works with multiple sectors but predominately collaborates on projects in the food and beverage industry and specialises in analysing the decarbonisation of a business’s procurement emissions, particularly in relation to forest and land use change.
With an academic background in environmental engineering and a Master’s in Global Sustainability Challenges from the University of Exeter, Camila has dedicated her career to tackling environmental and sustainability challenges. She helps organisations understand their environmental impacts and opportunities, guiding them to design credible decarbonisation pathways and strengthen their connections with nature.

Charlotte Barker
Sustainability Solutions Consultant
Charlotte focuses on delivering CSRD-aligned double materiality assessments, target-setting programmes and sustainability strategies as part of Simply Sustainable’s Targets and Strategy team. She supports organisations in navigating the evolving ESG and corporate sustainability landscape and has proven experience working across industries to develop practical, evidence-based solutions that drive meaningful progress.
Charlotte has a degree in Economics and Geography from the University of Leeds, which included a year abroad at Western University in Canada. Before joining Simply Sustainable, she worked in economic development and social value consulting, supporting a range of public and private sector clients to understand, measure and enhance their socio-economic impact. She has a strong interest in social sustainability and impact, and a passion for helping businesses create long-lasting social value through effective sustainability strategy and delivery.

Elodie Irons
Sustainability Solutions Consultant
As a Sustainability Solutions Consultant, Elodie specialises in helping clients understand, adapt to, and prepare for existing and emerging sustainability legislation, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). She works closely with organisations to identify the relevance and impact of these regulations, guiding them through both internal governance improvements and external disclosure requirements. Her day-to-day work involves conducting double materiality assessments, analysing climate resilience and carrying out legal horizon scanning to help businesses navigate an evolving regulatory landscape.
Originally from the UK, Elodie is now based in our Amsterdam office, having relocated to the Netherlands after completing her master’s degree in International Relations and Security at the University of Liverpool. Passionate about addressing social as well as environmental injustices, she volunteered as a Childline counsellor during her studies, providing one-to-one mental health support to hundreds of young people across the UK.
After moving to Amsterdam, Elodie completed a full-time internship as Policy and Project Lead at the Impact Economy Foundation – a non-profit organisation striving to tackle global challenges such as climate change, poverty and inequality. Having conducted extensive research into the CSRD, Elodie has developed a strong interest in responsible corporate governance and is committed to helping organisations make more sustainable, forward-looking choices.

Harry Freeman
Technical Specialist – Sustainable AI
Harry is a dedicated Technical Specialist in Sustainable AI at Simply Sustainable. With extensive experience in carbon footprint analysis, verification and net-zero strategy development, Harry champions sustainable impact and drives business success through innovative environmental solutions.
Utilising his degree in Property Finance and Investment alongside his PIEMA certification, Harry focuses on delivering business-oriented sustainable transformations.

Henry Unwin
Director of Client Strategies
Henry has spent over 15 years working in sustainability, both as a consultant and in-house. For a decade, he led sustainability initiatives across regional government, international business, regenerative agriculture and retail.
A passionate advocate for the role of business in tackling the climate crisis, Henry has dedicated much of his career to driving progress in the food, farming, and retail sectors helping organisations turn ambition into action.
At Simply Sustainable, Henry leads the Client Strategies Team making sustainability work for our current and future clients. He brings a strategic, pragmatic approach to sustainability, balancing his passion for change with commercial insight.

Joaska Mischke
Director of Sustainability Solutions
As Director of Sustainability Solutions, Joaska leads Simply Sustainable’s specialist team in developing and delivering innovative sustainability solutions for clients across sectors. She oversees the team’s work to ensure every solution drives long-term value and creates measurable impact.
With expertise in strategy development, materiality, governance, and implementation, Joaska helps organisations embed sustainability into business models, decision-making, and culture. Her work spans the full sustainability spectrum, from regulatory alignment and reporting to purpose-led strategy execution, enabling clients to translate ambition into action.
Joaska holds an MSc in Management, Organisations and Governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She also holds diplomas in Design Thinking from IDEO, Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge, and Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School. She is a GRI-certified sustainability professional and a registered Practitioner at the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP).

Kate Dowling
Sustainability Solutions Consultant
Kate brings a holistic understanding of sustainability and climate risk reporting, combining strong evaluative skills with a solutions-focused approach to integrating climate considerations into business strategy and disclosure.
She holds a Geography degree from the University of Edinburgh and a Certificate in Sustainable Finance from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, completed alongside her studies. Before joining Simply Sustainable in January, Kate worked in Financial Services as a Sustainability Analyst, focusing on ESG strategy and reporting.
At Simply Sustainable, she has deepened her expertise in climate risk and sustainability reporting, supporting clients to assess and integrate climate-related risks and opportunities across operations, supply chains, and strategic decision-making. She has worked with a range of reporting frameworks, including the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and CDP, broadening her experience across evolving disclosure requirements. She has also completed her FSA Level I qualification and is studying towards Level II, enhancing her ability to support clients as global sustainability regulations increasingly align with IFRS S1 and S2.

Kate Turner
Senior Operations Manager
Since joining Simply Sustainable in 2021, Kate has been responsible for organisational development, including updating the company’s HR processes and introducing an enhanced benefit package for the team. Drawing on her previous experience working for large organisations, she has implemented new operational and finance processes to enhance efficiency and support the company’s continued growth. A confident public speaker, she leads team briefings and ensures the team is aligned and updated on all significant organisational changes. Kate collaborates closely with all team members to foster a positive, inclusive company culture and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the business. She also oversees recruitment into Simply Sustainable, including the onboarding of the company’s first graduate intake, and is responsible for procuring new office space both nationally and internationally.

Kritika Singh
Marketing Executive
Kritika is our in-house Marketing Executive, bringing a creative yet data-driven approach to everything she does. With over 4 years of experience in campaign planning, social media, and performance marketing, she combines strategic insight with hands-on execution to deliver measurable impact.
Passionate about sustainability and innovation, Kritika is well placed to support and amplify our initiatives within a like-minded community. She holds an MSc in Consumer Analytics & Marketing Strategy from the University of Leeds, graduating with Merit, and has previously worked with leading global brands to drive growth through digital and performance marketing.

Lia Locke
Senior Marketing Manager
Lia is an accomplished marketing professional with over 10 years’ experience in driving growth and brand awareness through strategic marketing initiatives and creative campaigns. Lia is responsible for Simply Sustainable’s digital campaigns, event planning, website management and content direction. Lia brings together data-driven marketing strategies with a deep understanding of market trends to expand our reach and engage with our audience in meaningful ways.
Having worked with large brands, Lia’s background and areas of expertise encompass a wide scope of skillsets which include stakeholder management, data analysis, project management, sales strategies, and reporting and communications.

Maria Serrano
Sustainability Solutions Consultant
Maria is a performance driven and passionate Climate and Carbon Consultant who has developed her skills and expertise in-house and in consultancy. She has experience working across multiple sectors like financial services, real estate, food and retail. Maria specialises in carbon accounting, setting science-based targets, third-party verification and climate-related disclosures such as CDP, having enabled multiple clients to increase their scores year on year.
Maria’s university background in Environmental Science was the driving force for her wanting to work in sustainability.

Nicola Stopps
Chief Impact Officer & Founder
Nicola Stopps is Chief Impact Officer and Founder of Simply Sustainable. Nicola has over 20 years’ experience in sustainability and ESG having worked for some of the largest companies in the world.
Since founding Simply Sustainable in 2010, Nicola has worked with a number of international and national organisations on developing their CSR and sustainability programmes.
Previous roles include; Head of Corporate Responsibility at T-Mobile, Director of Sustainability and Environment at Travelodge Hotels, as well as working for DHL and the BBC. Nicola holds a Geography degree from University of Exeter and received her Master’s in Environmental Impact Assessment and Auditing from the University of East Anglia in 1999.
Nicola has a proven capability to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget. She has gained a reputation of someone who ‘gets the job done’ and has experience working in a wide range of sectors. With firm foundations in environmental management and experience in successfully implementing sustainability and ESG strategies, Nicola is nationally recognised as a leader in the field of corporate sustainability and ESG. She is a Fellow of IEMA and the RSA and sits on the CBI Energy and Climate Change Committee and was elected as a CBI Council Member for the East of England.

Rob Franklin
Solutions Manager – Targets and Strategy
Rob is the Solutions Manager for the Targets and Strategy team at Simply Sustainable. He leads the team in helping clients shape and advance their sustainability strategies, guiding them from early-stage ambition through to credible disclosure, reporting, and third-party verification.
With extensive experience across both public and private sectors, Rob specialises in the key building blocks of a robust sustainability strategy. His expertise includes carbon footprinting, setting science-based and net zero targets, SBTi submission support, and developing strategic frameworks that drive meaningful action.
Rob has a BSc in Geography from the University of Exeter and has completed an MSc in Climate Change Science and Policy from the University of Bristol.

Rosie Pidgeon
Client Strategies Partner
Rosie helps clients make sense of industry-recognised reporting frameworks to build a clear and practical vision for progressing their sustainability journey. With a strong background in business change and transformation, she has partnered with organisations across financial services, retail, transport, and healthcare to find clear and creative ways to improve daily operations and longer-term strategies.
Rosie has a BSc in Economics from the University of Bath and a qualification in Business and Climate Change from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. With her interest and experience in understanding business dynamics, and drive to see meaningful sustainability progress, Rosie brings a human-centred to engaging strategically across the environmental, social, and governance aspects of sustainability.

Sytze Dijkstra
Netherlands Country Manager
Sytze leads Simply Sustainable’s business in the Netherlands, working with European companies on their sustainability strategy, GHG emissions plans and reporting. Sytze enjoys helping companies understand how they can integrate sustainability into their business strategies and has in-depth expertise in preparation and reporting for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Before joining Simply Sustainable, Sytze held various roles in sustainability research, thought leadership and consulting, advising companies and governments on strategies for accelerating the transition to sustainable business practices. He brings expertise in modelling transition scenarios, evaluating business cases and developing roadmaps, particularly in the energy sector, transport and logistics and manufacturing.

Will Bourns
Solutions Manager – Impacts and Dependencies
Will is the Solutions Manager for the Impacts and Dependencies team at Simply Sustainable. He leads the team supporting clients in developing understanding of the risk and quantifying impact on the society and environment. This ranges from initial carbon footprints to deep dives into specific commodities and dependencies on communities and ecosystems.
Will has experience across a range of sectors from financial institutions to food manufacturers and retailers. His expertise includes carbon footprinting, social value and quantifying the impact of land conversion and deforestation and utilising this data to inform business decisions relating to procurement of goods and future investments.
Will studied Zoology and Natural Sciences at the University of Liverpool and since graduating Will expanded his knowledge through memberships at PIEMA and EI.
